The Inner Light

My teachers are a married couple.

The husband is the meditation teacher. He studied directly under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for an entire month, in India, and many more years under other teachers.

The wife is the psychic. She received the bulk of her training from a woman who trained under Sir Arthur Canon Doyle and his wife. Doyle, of course, was the author of all the Sherlock Holmes mystery novels.

Both husband and wife have proven their skills many times to me and to others, and they have introduced us to teachers from all over the world. Both of these people also worked at one time for the great self-help guru, Tony Robbins.

It actually took me a while to see the connection between intuition and meditation. A simple explanation would be to say that meditation is a way to slow down the mind so that intuition can rise to the surface.

The Maharishi founded Transcendental Meditation, but he is probably most famous for leading the Beatles to Eastern religion, affecting not only their beliefs but also their music.

One Beatles song tells of their beliefs -

The Inner Light

Without going out of my door
I can know all things of earth
Without looking out of my window
I could know the ways of heaven

The farther one travels
The less one knows
The less one really knows

Arrive without traveling
See all without looking
Do all without doing

It is obvious that even the Beatles, who had seen the world and had everything a person could want, found solace in meditation, and had an apparent belief in intuition or psychic ability. They are not alone.

Oprah Winfrey and Larry King have regularly had psychics on their show. No one can doubt that these two people have it all, and yet they, too, like the Beatles and so many other highly successful people, have developed a belief in what would be considered alternative phenomenon.

Even Presidents Lincoln, Roosevelt, Kennedy, possibly Nixon, and definitely Reagan were known to consult psychics, and if the truth were known, many successful people have and still do.

I try, in this blog, to look at all of this from a common sense point of view, while relaying my own incredible experiences.

There is a third facet to my studies and writings, and that is the phenomenon of healing. I take the same introspective view of this, as I consider it part and parcel with the others.

Among my classmates, over the last decade, have been a medical doctor, several psychologists, the chairman of the board of the Visiting Nurses Association of America, several human resources folks, teachers, nurses, stock brokers and bankers . . . the list goes on.

I can honestly tell you I have seen healings, including one woman freed from cancer; I have given readings that have changed peoples lives; I have been so deep in meditation that I believe I have finally learned who God is.

And so I believe.
